Siri, the revolutionary iOS update the Apple customers ever received and is available on the iPhone 4S is rumored to get an update which will bring support for other languages like Chinese, Japanese and Russian.
Though Apple has already promised to bring new languages on their Siri support page, they havent mention a date, but a new report from DoNews says that the Cupertino Company will bring an update to Siri next month.
From this source it claims that Siri will launch in Chinese next month, and is already undergoing internal testing this month.
In addition to understanding and speaking Chinese, Siri will soon also be able to give local information and navigation – something that’s currently limited only to the US. At present, the Siri assistant speaks English, French, and German. So if you’re Chinese, you’ll have to ask it stuff in English for the time being.
iPhone 4S was launched recently in China via China Unicom and we saw what kind of a demand this device had and rumores also said that the China Telecom will launch the iPhone 4S very soon as well.
So bringing Siri support for other languages like Chinese and Japanese means Apple is definitely looking forward to capture the Asian market in time to come.
